The only access to the apartment is by turning into Janske lazne from road number 297 towards the cable car and central parking lot. About 200 meters after turning, you will see a barrier on the left (after calling the number provided, the barrier will open automatically). After passing the barrier, drive to the very end of the road, where after a sharp and steep turn to the right, you will find the garage door. of the building where the apartment is located
You have only one parking space available, number 02, in the basement of the building (last on the right from the entrance). Any additional car must be left in the central or another parking lot, as other parking spaces are reserved for other apartments. Due to the relatively steep entrance to the basement garage, we recommend snow chains for the winter season. Despite the efforts of the management company to maintain the driveway, they may come in handy during heavy snowfalls.
Adjacent to the parking space is a secure cellar storage designated for storing bicycles, skis, snowboards, sleds, etc., as their placement in the apartment, even on its balcony, is prohibited. We also recommend it for storing ski and snowboard boots, which will reliably dry thanks to the hot water pipes.
Upon arrival, you will receive two sets of keys for the entrance to building 317, the apartment, the garage door, and the cellar storage, as well as one remote control for the garage door.
There is a strict no-smoking policy and no pets are allowed in the entire apartment. Violation of this prohibition, as well as storing bicycles, skis, snowboards, sleds in the apartment, entitles us to terminate the accommodation without any compensation.
Janské Lázně Square is adorned with an Art Nouveau colonnade designed by Viennese architect Brang. The construction of this stylish landmark on the square, consisting of a steel structure on deep piles, took place in 1904 under the supervision of Johann Blaschek from Trutnov. The site was obtained by filling in the deep valley of Janský stream, and its water was channeled into an underground “tunnel” by designer Otto Fiedler. The thermal pool is part of the therapeutic facilities of the State Spa Janské Lázně, s.p. The entrance fee, which is limited to closing hours, includes repeated use of saunas, steam rooms, indoor and outdoor whirlpools. Massage is also available by appointment. The cinema is a classic. Folding plywood seats in the auditorium will evoke nostalgia and add another dimension to your vacation.
The cable car connecting Janské Lázně to the summit of Černá Hora was built in 1928. The regular summer operation of the cable car, known as the “Černohorský Express,” from Janské Lázně to Černá Hora runs from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM according to the timetable. Transport of mountain bikes, scooters, and strollers is free. For your return from excursions to Pec pod Sněžkou, Velká Úpa, or Horní Maršov, you can use Černohorský BUS. Therefore, purchase a combined ticket for the cable car + BUS, and as a bonus, you will receive a 50% discount voucher for a ride on the 1st Krkonoše Mountain Toboggan Run in Relaxpark Pec pod Sněžkou.
From Černá Hora to Pec pod Sněžkou, a red-marked hiking trail leads from the upper station of the cable car, passing Sokolská and Černá Bouda, to Václavák. The route then continues along the slope above Javoří stream to Kolínská and Pražská Bouda, where you will descend to Pec pod Sněžkou via yellow and subsequently blue marked hiking trails.
In the vicinity of the village of Černý Důl, there are many remnants of mining activities, and on an approximately one-kilometer forest circuit of the educational trail Berghaus, you can view some of them. Among other things, you will see the crater of an 80-meter-deep filled-in uranium mine, a mining flume, rocky ridges, and the entrance to a medieval mine. On ten informational boards, you will find examples of ore processing, geological profiles, maps of mining works, and underground photographs. The village plans to further expand this first educational trail about medieval ore mining and modern uranium ore exploration in the Krkonoše Mountains.
